Unfinished projects

At this moment the reality of having the book I’ve been working on since three years ago done by the end of summer is really not going to happen. Unless I just put all the poetry in the past couple of years and make a book of poetry. But really who reads let alone buys poetry in this day and age. I don’t even buy poetry so it would be so hypocritical for me to think that my words would be worth to sell. These characters are as real to me as my own family, and I do not feel like I would be giving them justice if I rush and have a ending that doesn’t seem right. So here I am, with a Russian doctor and lost artist, a broken-hearted boy and a crumbling relationship between a manic depressive girl and a boy.

Its all in pen and paper too, just scribbles of a very angst and emotional writer. I kid, I kid.

Ode to gertie

Ode to Gertrude- Hamlet’s mother
by-me

Oh Gertie
How Shakespeare has mistaken
The power of your eyes
And of your silhouette

You might not be
A lady Macbeth
But you are just as powerful

How quiet you were
My dear Gertrude
How imposing
How sensual

Dear Hamlet
For the love of your mother
You killed your uncle

Was it worth it
in the end

Doubt that your mother
loved your uncle
Doubt that your best friends
tried to kill you
But never doubt the
power of a mother

new poem

Title- A conversation
by me

He sits there
On a bus bench
Phone in his hand
Voice barely above a whisper

As his relationship
And his heart
Cradles on this conversation

Will she understand
How much he cares
Or will she never speak
To him again

His hand his red
Fused to the phone
Its cold outside
And the bus isn’t here
Yet

But time is irrelevant
To the conversation at hand

She sits at home
Listening to his reasoning
But all she hears are pleas
To keep whatever they have
Together

She wants to love him
As the tears roll down her eyes

Thirty minutes pass

The bus is late
Still no conclusion
No resolution
And he is out of words

She is out of emotions

Both drained
Sitting in opposite
Sides of the town

The bus rolls up
He hangs up the phone

Why is it cold in March?

I am not fully awake, both my mind, body and soul feels sluggish. This has been a reoccurring theme in my life, and its been really hard to snap out of it. I can sit in front of the tv and/or computer for hours at a time and not do anything productive, and I have sat in front of the tv and computer for hours at a time and watched the clock magically change hours as I would sit there idly unmotivated to move. This has definitely impede my ability to write or want to do anything at all productive. It is like my tank is completely empty and I just cant find the energy to fill it up again and be my usual perky self.
It also does not help that the work load this semester is 3x heavier than last semester.
As I am typing this, it has been almost 45 minutes since I started writing and it took me a good 20 minutes to figure out which direction I wanted to write in.
I feel I should wrap this up cause there is nothing really else I can think of writing about.
>.<
Don't get me wrong, I am very excited about spring break, and maybe getting out of this town and going camping, listening to live music, having fun with my girls, boyfriend and random people would be good for me and get me out of this funk for once and for all.

Happy February!

I have been swamped the past couple of weeks trying to get back into school mood but it hasn't been working to my favor.
I am just in a big funk.
In other news, I am begining to be addicted to online shopping or browsing but havent decided what to buy yet.

A challenge has been set and accepted

Challenge- To get in shape and look better than my lazy boyfriend, ok that was rude to call him lazy but considering I was challenged to get fit by mid-March it was well warranted.
Participants - A very awesome Jacqueline Joy Ho-Shing and A.J Unger
The bet- If I end up in better shape by mid-March a certain mr. A.J Unger will have to read a Jane Austin novel in its entirety. If I lose I will never mention Jane Austin or bug him to read any books of that nature.
My Strategy- To start daily yoga and running around my neighborhood, I shall win this! Better watch out Unger cause you are going down.
His Strategy- I think he mentioned something about running but I was to busy thinking about how sweet victory is going to be that I didnt really pay attention. Well he does bike so he may have that as an advantage but I am still going to win.
-----
Tomorrow will be my first day getting back into shape and shabam there will be semi-daily most likely weekly updates on my progress of this challenge.

The soon to be fit

one hour till boarding

oh dear this vacation was some type of vacation if any could be described a vacation this past winter break vacation was definitely one to remember. stress does horrible things to my memory and i end up forgetting things that i had trained myself so hard not to forget and be organized just goes right out of the window. right now i am at the houston international airport awaiting to board my flight back to el paso, oh dear just 5 more full semesters give or take if i end up taking summer courses and i should be done with my bachelors! holy macaroons its pretty exiting to think of the future but i am attempting something new for this new year and new decade (decade is 10 years right...im to lazy to google the accuracy of the whole statement) I am going not over plan and care so much about things i can not control. I was 11 in the beginning of this century and I doubt any plans I made back then was feasible or close to the reality of my limitations that I would end up having in my future.
i sometimes wish i could put el paso next to mcallen and life would be so much easier.
